    The interface of the program is simplistic and easy to navigate through. So, you have access to three video editing functions - join, split and cut.

    Videos can be imported by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.

    In case of merging, you can preview files, navigate back and forth within the clip, adjust the volume and apply a fade in and out effect.

    Once you are ready to start the merging process, you can specify the output file name, destination and profile, as well as configure audio and video settings (e.g. size, quality, frame rate, zoom, start time).

    The splitting and cutting processes are similar. You can mark the start and end point, or enable Xilisoft Video Editor to split automatically (into even parts, at every specific minutes of megabytes).

    The program uses a moderate amount of system resources, supports several languages for the interface and includes a well-drawn help file. The image and sound are kept at a very good quality in the output videos.
