    The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. So, you can import videos into the list (via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported). Here you can check out the source path along with start and end time of each video.

    Once you configure audio and video settings for the AVI, MPEG, WMV or MOV output profile (e.g. sample frequency rate, frame rate, bit rate, compressor), you can initiate the task by pressing the "Render video" button (after which you can specify the output destination and filename).

    Furthermore, you can trim the clip by manually inputting the start and end time values, preview videos in a built-in media player, capture video footage from camera, create a slideshow from images and music, and more.

    In the "Setup" area you can enable Video Constructor to resize clips while preserving the aspect ratio, compress the video during capture, as well as configure DVD settings (e.g. file size, frame rate) and slideshow options (e.g. file size, rotation).

    The program uses a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, quickly finishes a conversion job and preserves a fair image and sound quality (it could had definitely been better). There's also a brief but inconclusive help file that you can check out.

    Plus, the interface is outdated and the tool seems to have some compatibility problems with Windows 7 (we weren't able to convert clips). We suggest you look for something more powerful than Video Constructor.
