  • UltraTagger is an application designed to help you edit the ID3 tags of your audio tracks with the MP3 format. It can be easily handled by all user levels.

    The interface of UltraTagger is clean and pretty intuitive. You can import audio tracks into the list by using either the file browser, treeview or Explorer-based layout. Batch processing is allowed.

    In the queue you can check out the name, title, artist, album, year, track number, genre and comment for each sound file.

    Besides editing tags, you can rename files, move items up and down in the list, capitalize the title, artist and album fields, save the current selection to a playlist, encode audio tracks between the MP3 and WAV formats, and others.

    The audio processing tool requires a small amount of system resources, supports keyboard shortcuts, has a good response time, quickly finishes a conversion job and manages to preserve a good sound quality. No errors have occurred during our testing and UltraTagger did not freeze or crash. There's also a comprehensive help file that you can check out (too bad it doesn't have snapshots).

    On the other hand, the interface is outdated and UltraTagger doesn't necessarily bring something new to the table. But, even so, we recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward application.
